Stitch Amana is a small cross-stitch retreat run by a handful of people, not a company with a data department. This page says plainly what we collect, why we have it, who else sees it, and how to get it removed. If anything here is unclear, email us and ask — hello@stitch-amana.com.

What we collect, and why

Food allergies are health information, and we treat them accordingly: they're stored separately from everything else, kept out of our routine exports, never included in marketing, and erased after the retreat. Only the organizers and the venue kitchen ever see them.

Emergency contacts

If you give us an emergency contact, you're giving us someone else's details. Please tell them you've done so. We use that information for one purpose only — reaching them if something happens to you during the retreat — and we erase it after the retreat along with the rest of your details.

Who else sees your information

Stripe — payments. They hold your card details; we never do. Stripe's privacy policy
Resend — sends our emails. Resend's privacy policy
Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores our records. Cloudflare's privacy policy
Hotel Millwright — receives dietary requirements so they can cater safely

That's the entire list. We don't sell your information, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't pass it to the designers or anyone else.

How long we keep things

Allergies, emergency contacts, seating and phone numbers — erased after the retreat. They serve no purpose once it's over.
Registration and payment records — kept, because they're our financial and legal record.
Policy acceptances — kept, for the same reason.
Email list membership — kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Unsubscribe — every email has a link, and it works immediately.
See or change your retreat details — use the link in your confirmation email.
Have your information removed — email us. We'll delete what we're able to, though we have to keep records of an actual payment.
Ask us what we hold — email us and we'll tell you.

Security

Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our organizer tools sit behind a login with two separate checks. Card details never touch our systems at all — Stripe handles payment entirely on their own pages.

Children

Stitch Amana is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this page we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so by email rather than hoping you notice.
