A cross-stitch retreat in the historic Amana Colonies
Hotel Millwright is the historic Amana Woolen Mill — reborn as a boutique hotel where original mill beams, exposed brick, and textile heritage live in every room. We can’t imagine a more fitting home for a stitching retreat.
Our stitching home is the Carding Studio — the mill’s original millwright workshop, now a private, light-filled studio just steps from the main hotel. Meals bring us together in the Indigo Room, the hotel’s own dining room. You’ll sleep steps away upstairs, and the shops, bakeries, and restaurants of the Amana Colonies are right outside the door.
We’re bringing designers whose patterns you already know and love — for trunk shows, exclusive kits, and time to stitch right alongside you.
Designer announcements land in inboxes first.
Set your project bag down, settle in, and stay awhile. Here’s the shape of Stitch Amana.
Long, unhurried hours in the light-filled Carding Studio — no schedules pulling you away from your hoop.
Take home designer kits created just for Stitch Amana — patterns you won’t find anywhere else.
Meals in the hotel’s Indigo Room, shared around the table with new friends who get why you brought six WIPs.
Seven historic villages founded in 1855, a National Historic Landmark of shops, bakeries, and craft heritage — right outside the door.
Full pricing and everything that’s included will be announced when registration opens. Join the list below to hear it first.
